Realtor with Virginia Capital Realty

Partner: Jay Leary

Originally from Saint Petersburg, Russia, Marina Vatchenkova moved to the

United States in 2012 and now proudly calls Williamsburg home. She is a local

Realtor, entrepreneur, wife, avid traveler, and mom of three boys—or, as she is

lovingly called by her husband, Mother of Dragons. Between running a real

estate business and keeping up with three energetic boys, life is rarely quiet and

almost never boring.

When she isn’t helping clients buy and sell homes, Marina’s favorite thing to do

is travel with her family. She loves exploring new countries, experiencing

different cultures, and creating adventures for her boys along the way. First thing

her kids get after being born is a passport.

Dancing, however, is a slightly different kind of adventure.

Like many parents of young children, Marina realized somewhere along the way that nights spent dancing and going out had been had been a thing of the past. So when the

opportunity to participate in Dancing with the Williamsburg Stars came along, it felt like the perfect combination of a challenge and a chance to step outside of

“mom mode,” learn something completely new, dress up, dance, and have a lot of fun doing it.

Marina is excited (and admittedly a little nervous!) to trade contracts and

carpools for choreography and take on a challenge that is completely outside her comfort zone. Most of all, she is honored to be part of an event that brings the Williamsburg community together for a great cause—and she hopes to show her three little dragons that their mom still has a few moves of her own.
