Dr. Daniel “Danny” Muniz is a physical therapist, strength coach, proud family man, and self-proclaimed goofball based in Williamsburg, Virginia.
He has over 18 years of experience helping people recover from injuries, get out of pain, and get back to doing what they love. He's especially passionate about helping people discover strength training and make fitness a part of their lives. In 2025, he took a leap of faith and opened his own practice to give his clients a more complete and personal experience.
Born and raised in central New Jersey in a big, loving family, Danny grew up surrounded by music, dancing, laughter, and plenty of good food. Salsa, merengue, and bachata were staples at family gatherings, so he’s hoping some of those Latin rhythms are still in there somewhere. He’s been an athlete all his life. In middle school, his older brother brought him to the weight room, and he got the bug. It never left. A high school injury later started his path to physical therapy.

In 2017, Danny and his wife, Kelly, moved to Williamsburg with their two children, Kaden and Kendall. They quickly fell in love with the area’s small-town feel, welcoming community, and rich mix of history, arts, music, and food. Outside of work, Danny enjoys spending time with his family, getting outdoors, listening to music, and cooking.
Although he’s never tried ballroom dancing, Danny is excited to step outside his comfort zone, learn some real dance technique, and see what he’s capable of. More importantly, he’s honored to support two wonderful charities and give back to the community his family calls home.
He’s also doing this for Kaden and Kendall, to show them that it’s okay to try something new, even when it’s scary.
