Elizabeth, a native Virginian, grew up dancing. From ages 3-18, she spent as many hours as she could doing modern dance, ballet, jazz, lyrical, and tap, and continued with tap through her college years. She never trained or participated in any partnered dancing. Now, following 20 years away from dance she is excited to rekindle an early love!

She moved to Williamsburg in 2002 to attend the College of William and Mary, where she majored in Religious Studies and minored in Music.  After graduation, she married her college sweetheart, Stuart Honenberger. Their first date was a modern dance performance on the very site where this event is taking place! She completed a Masters in Counseling at the College of William and Mary School of Education and for seven years worked as a school counselor in the Williamsburg-James City County school system before she resigned to give more attention to her own children.

Elizabeth’s husband, Stuart, has spent the past twenty years as a financial advisor and in 2017, founded Cornerstone Wealth, a financial services firm based in New Town. While he is running the business, Elizabeth spends most of her time caring for and chauffeuring their four children, Alice (15), Shirley (12), Clark (5) and George (3).  In addition to being a mother, she is active in her local church, the Williamsburg Community Chapel, where she has coordinated a Mom Co (short for Mom Community) group for over ten years.

She is passionate about creating meaningful conversations between women, is a voracious reader, and loves being an audience member of any musical theatre production. Both of her daughters are talented performers, who make regular appearances in school and community theatre productions. As a long time fan of the show, Dancing with the Stars, she is honored to be part of the Williamsburg tradition and support two of Williamsburg’s most impactful charities.
